Description: |
Stoloniferous perennial; culms up to 60 cm tall, erect or geniculately ascending; lower leaf sheaths often without lamina, tightly packed; leaf laminas 3–5(7.5) cm × 2–6 mm, flat or rarely involute, linear-lanceolate from an auriculate base, glaucous, somewhat rigid, cartilaginous on the margins.Inflorescence 8–25 cm long, erect or nodding, comprising 3–9 racemes 2–8 cm long.Spikelets 4–5 mm long; inferior glume 2.8–3.3 mm long; superior glume as long as the spikelet; lemma 3.4–4.7 mm long, with an awn 0.9–1.5 mm long. |
