Flowers borne in axillary racemes with normally only 1 flower opening at a time, 5 mm in diameter, bilabiate; peduncle slender, green, 3-4 cm long, densely pubescent. Floral bracts foliaceous, paired, green, conspicuously ciliate and pubescent; petals fused, blue to purplish with white puckered striations and yellow throat.
