Description: |
See var. microphylla. |
Notes: | Some literature suggests that var. americana is occurs in Namibia and Botswana while var. microphylla is found elsewhere in the region including nearby western Zimbabwe and southern Zambia. Other sources however state that both varieties are present in Namibia and Botswana and are difficult to tell apart. In southeastern Botswana both varieties are even said to overlap. As specimens found in Caprivi all were distinctly grey-green with smallish leaves they appear to match well with var. microphylla we have decided to place all material in that variety. |
