Description: |
Erect annual herb, up to c. 1 m tall. Leaves opposite, linear-lanceolate, 4-9 cm long, hairy on both surfaces; margin sparsely crenate-dentate. Flowers in 1-3 many-flowered, spherical clusters (verticils). Bracteoles numerous, filiform, up to 1 cm long, densely hairy, spine-tipped. Calyx whitish with green ribs, usually 5-toothed. Corolla usually white. |
