Description: |
Prostrate perennial. All parts with stellate and sometimes with glandular hairs. Leaves green, oblong-lanceolate, up to 7 × 2.4 cm, pubescent on both surfaces; margins serrate-crenate. Flowers drooping, mostly in pairs from an erect axillary peduncle, variable in colour, yellow, pink or reddish. Fruit an ellipsoid capsule, c. 8 × 6 mm, thinly pubescent. Note: this species differs from the similar H. depressa by the usually longer and narrower leaves, which are never tinged purple-bronze and slightly narrower petals |
