Description:
Prostrate annual or perennial herb, often form mats. Stems and leaves with appressed medifixed hairs. Leaves imparipinnate, with 5-7 leaflets. Leaflets obovate, up to 8 × 4 mm, terminal leaflet larger than lateral, with appressed medifixed hairs. Stipules filiform up to 3 mm long. Inflorescences axillary, 4-8-flowered; pedicels 2-3 mm long; bracts persistent c 1 mm long. Calyx deeply divided. Corolla dull red. Pod 2.5-4 mm long, 1-2-seeded, dehiscent.

Habitat: In open grassy areas and along roadsides.

Worldwide distribution: DRC (Shaba), Namibia, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Madagascar.
