Description: |
Perennial, up to 60 cm tall, without stolons, but with short creeping rhizomes, woody, scaly, forming new plants at regular intervals. Involucral bracts 3-4. Inflorescence simple, with spikelets inserted on main branches. Glumes brown rarely green. Spikelets usually less than 30 mm long, falling off in their entirety when mature. |
