Annual. Culms 30–100 cm. high. Leaf laminae cordate or not, the margins scaberulous. Inflorescence of 3–14 racemes, these 3–10 cm. long, bearing paired loosely continguous spikelets on a stiff triquetrous rhachis. Spikelets 3–4 mm. long, obovate-elliptic, glabrous, obtuse to subacute, without a stipe. Inferiorglume1/4–1/2 length of spikelet. Superior lemma coarsely rugose, obtuse. |
