Description: |
This subspecies can be readily distinguished from the other subspecies of A. stipitata in having narrow, but lax, usually effuse panicles with more or less spreading branches bearing usually purplish spikelets. In the characteristics of the leaf anatomy, panicle and spikelets A. stipitata shows a marked similarity to A. mollissima differing mainly in the absence of pubescence on the culms. |
