Young branchlets with dense, short, white, woolly indumentum, terete to angled and ribbed. Leaves spirally arranged, simple; Petiole stout, adaxially grooved, densely pulverulent, up to 10 mm long; lamina ovate to cordiform, ca. 60 x 45 mm, broadly tapering to acute apex, base rounded to cordate (narrowly curate down petiole), adaxially olive green, minutely / sparsely pubescent; adaxially silvery, venation prominent, densely pubescent. Capitula in scorpioid cymes ( = corymbs), ellipsoid, ca. 15 x 8 mm, homogenous, disc florets 10 - 12 mm long, 5 - merous. Stigma 5-branched, well-exerted. Pappus prominent, white, straight, about 10 mm long. Involucral bract 4-6-whorled, lanceolate-ovate, green, foliaceous with white, arachnoid pubescence.
