Habitat: Mainly montane grassland, bogs, rocky cliffs and seepage areas.

Altitude range: c. 2100 - 2592 m

Annual rainfall: c. 2200 mm

Location (short): Highest mountain in Zimbabwe.

Location (detailed): Mt Nyangani rises up to 2592 m and is the highest mountain in Zimbabwe. It forms one of the the main and cenral features of Nyanga National Park. The mountain is most easily accessible from the western side. There is a road leading to a car park at about 2100 m and a clear and well used path from there leads up to the summit. The climb should not take more than about 2.5 hrs for the average hiker.
