Lianas or shrubs; roots simple; stems up to 5 m long. Leaves glabrous, semi-coriaceous, petiolate, with reddish, dentate, interpetiolar ridges; lamina linear, narrowly ovate, elliptic or obovate; apex acute; base cuneate. Inflorescence terminal to axillary, few- to many-flowered. Sepals narrowly triangular to narrowly ovate. Corolla creamy white to yellowish green with purplish centre, or completely white; tube campanulate. Follicles paired, slightly diverging. Seeds narrowly sub-ovoid. Worldwide: 2 species in southern Africa Caprivi: 1 taxon. |
