Common names:
Description: Prostrate or twining perennial herb. Leaves oblong or ovate, up to 14 cm long, variably cordate or hastate at the base, velvety or hairy on both surfaces; margin entire or dentate. Flowers in 1-3-flowered clusters. Corolla pale yellow or whitish with a dark purple-red centre. Capsule depressed-spherical to almost square, hairy, crowned with the persistent style.

Worldwide distribution: Widespread in tropical Africa, Asia and, Polynesia. Apparently naturalised in Jamaica.
