Description: | Perennial with weak scrambling culms 30–130 cm. long. Leaf laminae 5–15 cm. long, narrowly lanceolate to linear. Panicle 6–18 cm. long, ovate-oblong. Spikelets 1.5–2.5 mm. long, ovoid to orbicular, glabrous or pubescent; inferior glume 2/3–3/4 the length of the spikelet, 3-nerved; superior glume 5-nerved; inferior lemma 5-nerved, enclosing a male flower, its palea well developed; superior lemma and palea verruculose. | |
