Glumes distichous, winged on the keel. Perianth 0. Stamens 3. Stigmas 3. Fruit a nutlet, usually dorsally flattened. Worldwide: 2 species occurring in Africa (from Ethiopia south to South Africa), Madagascar and Indo-China Caprivi: 1 cultivated taxon. |
